Destiny Allison
As a community leader and owner of several small businesses, the Santa Fe
native is committed to making a difference in the lives of the people she serves. In 2021, she was named one of 10 Who Made a Difference by The Santa Fe New Mexican. She has also been named Santa Fe Business Woman of the Year.
In addition to her civic awards, Allison has won numerous awards for her sculpture, has public work throughout the United States, and appears in several notable collections at home and abroad.
She is the author of four books, including the critically acclaimed “The
Romance Diet: Body Image and the Wars We Wage On Ourselves“
A full list of her merits is available on request, but Allison believes in staying present. Her show at Lewallen Galleries 25 years ago has no relationship to her current body of work. A public work at the Attleboro Museum that launched her career was vandalized and no longer exists.
Who she is today is different than who she was and the roads she once traveled merely brought her to where she is now.
Today, Allison is a mother of three grown children, a mentor, a coach, and always a beginner. She lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico where, with her beloved husband, she raises her own food, makes art, and gives what she can to the world.
