Aspens in the fall. Fields of grain. Wind rippling leaves and the scent of earth in the air.

I hunt for secret hideaways, imagining nymphs and dryads. Crisp leaves crunching underfoot, sunlight reflecting off the gold.

It’s quiet there.

 

Back against a trunk, eyes to the sky, a hawk circling.

God everywhere.
